Taiwan : 1st week

HELLO!! Good Morning :)

How is your day?

I know I've been busy lately because of my exchange (or I'm just to lazy to write something hmm.. I'm not sure). Btw, In this post I want to tell you, my experience from the 1st week I came to taiwan. Oh I also want to admit that....

Let's started !

1st Day - 17th February 2014

It's my first day in Taiwan and I don't fell really nervous (I don't know why..) maybe because after I've arrived in the Airport, there will be someone from Indonesia who will pick me up YEAY!! Thanks to my father :)

1 week before I'll go to Taiwan, my father is really worried about me, so he decided to search someone from Indonesia that can pick me up and I finally found out that it was PPI Taiwan

  

I arrived in Taoyuan Airport (Taiwan) around 10 pm , actually I want to decided to take the last THSR (Taiwan High Speed Rail) that night. But my father afraid I'll be lost, so we decided that I have to stay in Taipei for 1 day and then I will go to Tainan tomorrow morning. 

It took almost 40 minutes with Bus from Taoyuan to Taipei main station

After I arrived at Taipei main station, I've to take MRT/LTR (I forgot about it! sorry) to the nearest Hotel.

The Hotel it self named " Friends Yixing Hotel ". It's an old Hotel and It feels really creepy :') and yeah I stay in there alone. But the service in this Hotel is really good and the food isn't bad too.

You can see in the picture that the Hotel is very old :3 but idk, bcause I'm afraid I turn on the tv in case I hear some creepy sound maybe lol. After that, In the morning I take THSR (Taiwan High Speed Rail) Train to Chiayi, it took almost 1.5 hours.

When I arrived in Chiayi THSR , I saw 3 adult person that looks like teacher and one of the teacher approach me, his name is James. They ask me, if I'm hungry? and I said yes! OF COURSE! after that we eat a burger (Idk the store name sorry -_-) and go to Xinying 

 

After we arrived in Xinying, we go to Sinying Elementary School to meet the teacher and to see my desk work, and then Mr. James took me to my 1st house family house.

But before that, the teachers help me to change my number to Taiwanese number, it take about 500 nt dollars, to change my number and I get internet connection too. The seller said that I'm the first foreigner that can get an internet connection lol -_-

A you can see in the top , I teaching children English and for the 1st week,  not only I teach 1st grade class, but I also join the 6th grade class too. For the Friday, I introduce Indonesian culture to 6th grade and the theme of that day is my favorite places.

You can see, that my scheduled is so full :') and at Wednesday, Mr. James asked me to join the golf course with the children. YEAY! I'm so excited! It's my first time hehe

At the weekend, I go to Tainan city .I went to their grandma house and I also visit some tourist attraction such as : Confucius Temple, Anping street and Anping tree house. Oh btw! I visit Xinying library and park too.

So far, I'm really happy but also a little bit nervous. Maybe because of it's my first time to life abroad alone. Oh btw I'm sorry for longpost and too much photos :p
